Founded By Conor Rigan
The More Than Four Foundation 5.04K was founded by Conor Rigan, who was diagnosed with Grade III Anaplastic Ependymoma, an aggressive brain tumor, at six months old. Now age five, he has undergone six brain surgeries. Conor invites his community to join him at the 5.04K to celebrate being a kid, no matter what tomorrow brings. 100 percent of net proceeds from the 5.04K will go directly to pediatric cancer research teams and supporting families dealing with pediatric cancer.
The More Than Four Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children, families, doctors and researchers fighting pediatric cancer. We collaborate with top-tier organizations to fund cutting-edge research initiatives for pediatric brain cancer.
Join us as we come together to recognize children battling cancer.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
COURSE:
Why 5.04K? The length of the run/walk event is 5.04K, reflecting the fact that only 4% of federal cancer research funding goes to pediatrics. The additional 0.04 kilometers in the race is meant to demonstrate how small 4% really is.
The course is a loop that starts and ends at the corner of Union and Eighth Street. Please use the following address for reference: 401 S Union St, Traverse City, MI 49684. All ages are welcome, and wagons or strollers are encouraged.
TIMING:
Join us for this untimed walk/run on Saturday, September 21st, from 9 AM to 11 AM. After the race, join More Than Four Foundation for a family-friendly after party at Brady's Bar patio until 3PM. For $15 a plate, enjoy a pulled pork sandwich meal and all proceeds will go to the More Than Four Foundation.

Meet the Rigan Family
It all begins with an idea. The Rigan family decided to share their story and bring our community together by creating the More Than Four Foundation. This first of many events is our 5.04K run/walk. Founded by Conor Rigan.
Conor invites all the children of his community to gather and celebrate being a kid regardless of what tomorrow brings.
